About Aunty

Aloha,
My name is Jennifer Jensen.  I have always been passionate about teaching and learning since I was a young girl, playing pretend and was always the teacher.  I made that goal a reality by going to Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.  I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education and my Masters in Teaching and Learning.  While attending college I worked at a DayCare center where I taught the 3-4 year olds.  I also have done many hours withing the elementary classrooms from ages 5-12.  I love the early ages and am passionate about getting them excited to learn at a young age.

I know how important it is to start children young, as I ventured with my sisters and a friend in our own Mother's School.  I loved getting a glimpse of being back in the classroom and realized how much I missed interacting and teaching kids.  This is when I decided it was time to find out how to get an early learning program started.

I believe each child learns differently and hope that with this smaller class setting, I'll be able to reach each child through their own style of learning.  I love to act goofy and fun just to get them to learn the letter A.  I use songs, poems, stories, pictures and many other outlets to learn the same concept.  I hope you'll let me show you what I have to offer to you and your child as they learn the basics of the Letters, Numbers, Shapes and Colors.  I want to integrate science, social studies, math and reading all into this young group of kids.  I fell the variety will allow each of them to learn the concept in multiple ways.

I'm learning everyday along with my 3 kids, and love the new ways they are choosing to learn.  Times have changed since I was in Kindergarten which makes it even more exciting at how I can integrate the new theories and learning styles children have.
